Love 365: Day Thirty - Thirty-Six

I love being a woman.

I love that I'm a little awkward. Okay, a lot awkward. But seriously, it keeps me amused.

I love that I'm pretty responsible, especially when it comes to school stuff. I don't remember the last time I missed a major deadline.

I love that I'm one of the few girls I know personally who plays a whole lot of video games, including "boy" games, like Gears of War (seriously one of my favorites, you guys). Though I'd totally be up for some WiFi Mario Kart if any of you have a DS (I'd also be willing to trade a Pokemon or two).

I love that I am exceedingly polite.

I love that I can say with a measure of confidence that I want to be a more sociable J.D. Salinger when I grow up. I was (and still am) absolutely heartbroken over his passing. Catcher in the Rye is my favorite book, at the risk of sounding cliche-- but I have read everything else available out there that he's written, and there is no writer in literary universe that I admire more.

I love that I refuse to own a bathroom scale.

I love that I have learned "domestic skills" I think there is nothing more liberating like knowing how to take care of yourself.

I love that I have learned how to be the right kind of "out" for me and that sexuality doesn't define you as a person.

I love my boobs. I don't have much going for me in the hips or legs or butt department so it's nice to have something that is so physically womanly.

Finally, I love that after 15 years I can compose a list of reasons why I love myself.

I love that I can eat pretty much whatever I want and still maintain a reasonable figure.

I love that I'm smart enough to surprise people who think I'm just a dumb blonde- and I love proving myself wrong because I used to think I wasn't smart enough to become a scientist. Take that, me-in-the-past and everyone else!

I love my optimism.

I love that I'm finally strong enough to be happy without needing a man in my life, but also strong enough to let the right one be there.

I love these posts!!

And I would say all the same things as yours for myself, but I'm not polite! HAH! I'm too honest to be polite all the time

You know you have said you are good at baking twice?

I am in love with this idea though. Well done you!

Kylie: being polite is probably overrated :-P

AJ: you know, I thought I did? I'll have to think of a different one and slide it in there.
