Bottled Water

Hey, you guys! While I'm busy packing for my weekend away and freaking out about exorbitant tuition costs (almost $1000 to do a summer internship for one unit of credit! Can you even believe that?!), why don't you watch this video about bottled water and why you should stop buying it-- 'cause I mean seriously guys, your bottled water? It's mostly just filtered tap water... like what you could get for the cost of a Brita filter and filter replacements from your very own sink (if you want to be extra careful).

I'll have Love 365 for tomorrow (oh hey wanna e-mail me your submission?) and then I'll be back to my regular posting schedule on Monday. I have a few posts in the works, including some stuff on body image.

Do you drink bottled water? Why or why not? What did you think of the video?

Thank God I live in a city where tap water is better than most of the bottled ones. Hey, Madrid visitors can drink tap water knowing it´s the best in Spain and was actually used by a bottled water company to sell!I only buy them if I can´t acess tap water or in places where drinking it is like drowning in the sea, as the southern part of Formentera island.
Oh, and most places in Madrid let you ask for a glass of water. If you say only "water", they´ll bring bottled, if you say "a glass of water", it´ll be tap. You can totally say it here. Although there are a few places that won´t give you one(most of them clubs), fortunately that´s the unusual. Totally agree with this video.

Leticia: I never knew that stuff worked like that in Madrid. Here, if you ask for water in, say, a restaurant, I'm pretty sure it's tap water (I work in a restaurant and the water comes from a little spout in the soda machine). You have to ASK if you want bottled water, which is actually a little weird since bottled is so popular.

i totally agree with this video, i tend to just drink water out of a alumminum water bottle which i fill up at home. its better for the enviroment that way, no need to waste all that plastic!

Jem: I got myself one of those Sigg bottles (the new ones are safe-- I know there was some controversy over 'em) and I love it.
