* Though I'm not a Gaga fan, she says some kickass things:
"Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you're ever wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you it doesn't love you anymore."
* Hipsters on foodstamps: an interesting article from the people at Salon.com.
* Does WoW predict our future? Sociologist William Sims Bainbridge weighs in.
* For you college kids: a calculator to help you figure out if you should skip class. I actually used this once.
* Thomas L. Friedman talks about how he wants to move away from the bipartisan system in this really interesting Op-Ed -- do you agree?
* I just thought this was really cute-- How the dumbest cat in the world drinks water.
* P & P is a blog that parodies fashion blogs. Check this out if you want a giggle.
* Lesley from Fatshionista is one of my favorite ladies lately. Please check out her touching post on childhood obesity and this post on health care reform and abortion.
*Aaaaand on that note I love this guerilla stickering of a pro-life subway ad that Lesley posted on her Twitter.
These are a few of the things I'm lovin' this week, but results may vary. Tell me what you think in the comments!

Fantastic! Love the fake fashion blog <3
New things for me to indulge in! :).
I love GaGa's quote! Beautiful! She intrigues me, I have to say!
I have to respectfully disagree with that Lady Gaga quote. I think the general policy should be not to put all your eggs in one basket - your love basket OR your career basket. Your career won't wake up and say it doesn't love you anymore, but you can't fall asleep in your career's arms, your career can't take care of you if you get ill, your career can't build a family with you, and you can absolutely fail at or get fired from your career.
I used to have mix feelings about Lady Gaga but after reading a few of her interviews it is easy to see that she really has a good head on her shoulders. this is such a true quote!
Kelly: I'm really surprised I didn't think of it this way from the get-go, 'cause I do generally think more along the lines of creating a balance. I had actually been thinking about something like this recently, since my boyfriend and I are going to have to decide where to live based on where we can get work, and someone may end up having to compromise. I think if you're in a long-term relationship that really means a lot to you, you shouldn't just throw it away for a career: you should try to find a way to have it both ways.
So glad you brought that up.
Love Lady Gaga's quote! You posted some really great things today ... I can't wait to check some of them out!

Love the Gaga quote and all the interesting links. I'm going to check some of them now.
LMAO - The cat!
My cat drank her water like that for about 6-8 months when we first got her because that was the only way we could get her to drink water. First we had to put our finger in the water and offer it to her, then we started dipping her paw in the water.
Then she finally figured out how to drink like a normal cat.
She's still dumb though, unfortunately. lol
Thanks for the shout out for the skip class calculator. Your blog is inspiring by the way.
Julie: Adorable!
Jim: No problem, I totally love it. And thanks :)
